Pricing

Even though the iPhone is their product, we can usually beat their cost of iPhone repairs by a considerable margin. Apple’s corporate office sets their pricing, without ever seeing your phone, and their flat rate pricing often covers more than is necessary. The Mac stores have to adhere to Apple’s standards, as well, so their pricing will normally be the same. Our technicians, on the other hand, will repair only what’s broken, and that’s all you’ll be charged for.

Convenience

You can call Apple and make an appointment, wait a couple of days without your iPhone, fight traffic, hunt for a parking place in a busy mall, stand in line in a crowded store… then have one of their representatives tell you that your phone should be ready in 5-7 days (perhaps longer, if they need to send it out of state). Apple Stores are retail outlets that happen to also house a service operation. Service is a necessity for them, not a focus.

In Seattle you can also opt to go to a Mac Store. They may be a bit less crowded, but the delay will often be the same. They’re also retail stores, with service being a secondary focus.
